Scout work with children and young people and work with young adults is coeducational in groups. The focus is on the needs of children and young people and their expectations, they develop practical skills and key qualifications. Scout work wants to enable young people to orientate themselves in their environment, to understand social and political connections, to experience the importance of international encounters and to represent solidarity with other young people. In this way they are to be supported in their development towards an individual and social identity. In accordance with the holistic pedagogy of pathfinding, members can develop social, manual and artistic-creative skills. The members learn to act in partnership and democratically, to share successes and take responsibility. The undertakings correspond to the level of development and the realities of life of the young people.
